Job and studentship opportunities

A PhD studentship focused on storm surge simulation and structural reliability has opened. The student will apply the Delft3D hydrodynamic model to simulate storm surge in Houston/Galveston, TX, develop building fragility relations using GIS and insurance data, and assess the structural reliability of storm surge barrier concepts. Experience with coastal/hydraulics simulations, structural engineering, and GIS is useful for this position. If interested, please apply to the Civil/hydro PhD program in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department for Fall 2023 admission.
